The Chicago Women's History Center is honored to host “Past & Present Strategies to Advance the Rights of Women”, a hybrid conference taking place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Roosevelt University. This conference will bring together scholars, researchers, and advocates for a full day of panels, workshops, and discussions dedicated to the historical and contemporary strategies that have shaped the advancement of women’s rights.
Registration is now open until March 17, 2025. Attendees may participate in person or virtually. We invite you to take part in this critical dialogue on the past, present, and future of women’s rights advocacy. Secure your place today by visiting our website for more details.
Registration is $200
This includes continental breakfast and lunch at Roosevelt University and CWHC membership for one year.
9:30am - 5:30pm
Scholarships open on February 14, 2025 and close on March 10, 2025
There are two additional tiers for registration:
Registration + donation = $250
Full registration + Videos = $300
This includes twelve videos of presentations and panels available from
April 1, 2025 - May 31, 2025

About the Conference
Chicago Women’s History Center is delighted to work in partnership with Black Metropolis Research Consortium (BMRC), Evanston History Center and Women & Leadership Archives at Loyola University Chicago to host a hybrid conference on Saturday March 22, 2025. We have additional sponsors of WILPF U.S., Skyline Village and Chicago Hyde Park Village. It will include a Keynote Presentation by Jamila Woods and one day of fifteen panels, presentations, roundtables, and workshops from 9:30am - 5:30pm.
With support from the partners we will be providing eleven scholarship places for graduate students and researchers to attend who wish to actively document the conference with live social media messaging or writing two blog posts about the conference. Scholarship applicants have been selected.
