Maureen Hellwig
President
Maureen is the President of Chicago Women’s History Center and was Senior Director of Programs for Erie Neighborhood House until her retirement in 2015, where she helped found the Allied Health Care Career Network. For six years she was Program Director and Instructor of Chicago Studies, a Masters program in Urban Studies for adult professionals at Loyola University Chicago. She has worked for non-profit organizations in Chicago, serving low-income communities, all her professional life and serves on many boards. She has a BA from Alverno College, Milwaukee, WI, and holds a Masters in Urban Planning & Policy, and a PhD in Public Policy and Urban Affairs from the University of Illinois Chicago.
